Dramatic finish as Bels hold champs

ST MARTIN’S missed the chance to go back to the top of the FNB Priaulx League last night as two goals in the last five minutes saw Bels salvage a dramatic 3-3 draw at a windswept and rain-drenched Blanche Pierre Lane, writes Gareth Le Prevost.

When Ben Coulter restored the champions’ two-goal cushion with quarter-of-an-hour remaining, it looked as if Leon Meakin’s side were about to register their fifth league win in a row.

However, Stuart Roussel’s cross found its way into the net on 86min. and he then set up Marc McGrath for the equaliser in the 90th.

McGrath had earlier scored Bels’ first goal just before half-time after Callum Le Lacheur and Sam Hale had given Saints a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes.
