On Harry Tobin’s low cross Loaring was able to convert from close range and with just two minutes of normal time remaining sub Renouf, playing only his third game for GFC, smashed the ball home to seal a superb 2-0 win.

GFC travelled with Simon Geall back to bolster midfield and Kyle Smith back on the bench against opponents who were thumped 5-0 the last occasion Green Lions were there.

Three Bridges had the better of the early proceedings but Loaring was a whisker away from getting on Ross Allen’s 13th minute cross.

Allen forced a good save at the midway point and towards the break the visitors were able to mount sustained pressure having played some typically neat football.

Tom Strawbridge, who had a great game defensively, drew a great save out of keeper Thorp but the visitors were grateful to keeper Cal Stanton for two saves on the verge of half time.
