The Brighton & Hove Albion starlet feels she is in a ‘good place’ with training, despite being physically distanced from her clubmates and facing much uncertainty over when or indeed whether the FA Women’s Super League season will resume.

Le Tissier is each week keeping up four gym workouts and five running sessions, either continuous or as structured intervals, together with technical and touch work, often at the Blanche Pierre Lane base of her former club St Martin’s.

This training is in line with a programme issued by the ‘Seagulls’ coaches to Le Tissier and her fellow players.

‘It’s a bit of everything to keep us ticking over and maintain our fitness,’ said the 17-year-old.

‘I am in quite a good place compared to some other people.

‘Some of the others are in complete lockdown, so I’m very fortunate to be able to go out and train.’

Brighton & Hove Albion sat ninth in the WSL standings prior to the suspension of all English football until at least the end of this month.

Although manager Hope Powell had been among those expressing support for an early finish to the season, the FA are still yet to make a decision over the matter.

‘People’s health comes before everything and that’s the main thing, really,’ added Le Tissier of the uncertain situation.
