BELGRAVES followed up their Rawlinson Cup triumph with a comfortable 4-0 triumph over Sylvans as the FNB Priaulx League campaign surged into life across three grounds last evening.

Sam McKenzie (two), Charlton Gauvain and Marcus Queripel netted for Bels.

In fact, it was a good opening night for two sets of blue-and-whites because Rovers more than matched Bels with a very impressive 5-1 triumph against Vale Rec at the Corbet Field.

As was the case at the Track, Rovers had that game won by half-time and with both Sam Hall and Carlos Canha finding the net twice they have been quick to throw down a title gauntlet.

Martin Savident also netted for Rovers, while Seb Skillen hit a consolation cracker.

Meanwhile at Blanche Pierre Lane, St Martin’s beat Rangers 4-0.
