The Brighton & Hove Albion defender made the list along with Manchester United’s Ona Batile, Arsenal’s Malin Gut, Birmingham City’s Hannah Hampton and Chelsea’s Jessie Fleming.

In her article, The Guardian’s Suzanne Wrack wrote of Le Tissier:

‘The 18-year-old is one of the most exciting young defenders in the league.

‘Having joined Brighton at 16, Le Tissier, traditionally a centre-back, has settled in at right-back following the signing of the New Zealand central defender Rebekah Stott and has been one of the league’s most solid performers in the position.

‘She has played in all but one of Brighton’s games this season and has moved up from England’s under-17s to the under-19s this year.

‘Before joining Brighton the Guernsey-born defender was the first female player to play with the island’s under-16 men’s team in 2018.’

That recognition comes only a week after Le Tissier was chosen in the ‘starting XI’ for the Girls On The Ball WSL Team from the first half of the season along with some of the biggest names in the game including Millie Bright, Sam Mewis and Vivianne Miedema.

In response to that selection, Le Tissier’s Brighton teammates Victoria Williams and Rianna Jarrett respectively tweeted: ‘Superstar, sky’s the limit’ and ‘Not one bit surprised ... she’s only just getting started’.

Brighton are due to return to WSL action on Sunday 10 January with a trip to Bristol City before games with Birmingham City and Manchester City over the following weekends.
