A resounding 9-0 victory over The Bull Bags set them up nicely for this Friday night’s planned showdown with champions and leaders Guernsey Trade Windows, though the unforeseen lockdown put paid to that.

Nevertheless, Chumbawombas made relatively light work of their opposition in an impressive showing.

Team ace Ken Waters hit his best form of the night against Nick Ford, despite a slow start where the Bulls player took the first leg.

Waters answered firmly by firing two 180s in as many legs, subsequently winning both.

He then posted an 18-dart leg, his best of the night, to conclude a 3-1 victory.

Lee Smith won the following match against Jon Ogier in four legs – finishing with a leading 16-darter.

Kevin Brouard did not disappoint either and was the only player not to concede a single leg in his three matches. He beat Ford, Ogier and also Steve Edwards without fault.

But Guernsey Trade Windows were also in form, coming one short of a clean sweep against Foresters.

In the battle of the Simons, Foresters’ Gill managed to pinch a victory from Windows’ de la Mare, though he could not stop the title favourites from triumphing 8-1.
