WATCH: Young guns well represented in inaugural final

JUST one golfer with full Inter-Insular caps has made it through to today’s final of the inaugural Guernsey Press Elite Men’s Foursomes Championship after two pairings successfully overcame the strong wind as well as their semi-final opponents yesterday at L’Ancresse.

The 2019 Island champion Jeremy Nicolle is that odd one out as his combination with Jake Marshall again proved fruitful. They overcame Sunday’s conquerors of the top seeds Roland Mills and Rory McKenna 4 & 3, doing much of the damage around the turn in a match where very few holes were halved.

They will now face Island junior champion Ollie Chedhomme and Arthur Evans who finished with a remarkable flourish in the second semi-final, winning five successive holes from the 12th against CJ Elmy and Daniel Griggs to claim an impressive 4 & 2 victory.
