NORTH have the chance to go second in the FNB Priaulx League this evening at the Track where the new roof over the main stand is now in place.

Belgraves, who stand in North’s way tonight (7.30 kick off), have endured frustrating delays in completing the stand roof re-fit, but it will once again provide cover for spectators as it has for more than a century.

‘It is fully wind and watertight and operational,’ said Bels secretary Martin Le Cras, adding: ‘the final bits of guttering/flashings are going on today, and the emergency lighting and lighting inside is all finished. All that is left to do is give the seats and floor a coat of paint in a few months once fully dried out.’

The home side have slipped to fifth in the table after their cracking start to the campaign, but a win would lift them back above Sylvans into fourth.
