Covid causes postponement of Sporting Achievement Awards
THE Guernsey Sports Commission have postponed the annual Sporting Achievement Awards due to take place at the Beau Sejour Theatre tomorrow.

‘Unfortunately, the current level of Covid infections in the island means that the sensible decision is to delay our celebration of sport until a future date,’ said the Commission’s operations director, Graham Chester.
‘Although we are disappointed, we will be looking to reschedule the event but as yet we haven’t been able to confirm when or where that will be.
'We have a fantastic shortlist of nominees for each of the awards and look forward to being able to celebrate their sporting achievements in the not-too-distant future.'
