The Green Lions trailed at half-time to Isaac Monene's 29th minute goal and the home side still led when, on 71min. Jacob Fallaize was sent off in a case of mistaken identity.

However, Ross Allen equalised from the penalty spot with five minutes of regulation time remaining before both sides pressed for a winner in the dying stages with Andrew McCorkell making one terrific tip-over save to deny Allen.

It was GFC who came up with the decisive strike, though, as Ben Acey's inswinging left-wing corner was meet by Strawbridge who thumped his header into the net for a valuable three points.

The victory was the first time the Green Lions have won after going behind since December 2018.
