Reigning champions Griffins had seemingly taken control of the match with an impressove performance in the field as they restricted the powerful Indies batting line-up to just 133 for 8 from their 20 overs after Nathan Le Tissier had opted to bat.

However, Le Tissier’s side were inspired with the ball themselves and bowled out Griffins for just 95 to win by 38 runs and move two points clear in the title race with both sides having just one fixture remaining.

Indies conclude their campaign against Irregulars next Tuesday and will be crowned champions if they avoid defeat.
