The Rovers forward netted his first in the 34th minute at Blanche Pierre Lane after being set up by Fin Whitmore and the visitors held that lead until the interval.

After the break, the blue-and-whites dominated with Whitmore again providing the assist for Simpson-Cohen's second before the No 9 completed his hat-trick with quarter-of-an-hour remaining, cutting onto his right-foot before finding the back of the net with a pinpoint finish from 15 yards.

The 3-0 victory saw unbeaten Rovers leapfrog Bels and North into first place by a point having racked up four successive league wins following their opening draw at Vale Rec.
