Hobson promoted last weekend’s Sheffield Ponds Forge Arena show in which Guernsey’s Brad Watson dramatically snatched the England super-flyweight title in the last round.

‘We’re looking at trying to do something in Guernsey with Brad this year. It’ll be a bit of a homecoming after the history he’s made in winning an English title,’ said Hobson.

‘He’s a superstar over there and we need to capitalise on that,’ he added.

Hobson, who has a house in Jersey, staged a 2009 professional show at Hotel de France headlined by Clinton Woods, the IBF light-heavyweight champion from 2005 to 2008.
