On a challenging wicket at the College Field, Corinthians skipper Pierre Blampied won an important toss and his four-pronged seam attack did not let him down.

The scoring rate rarely crept above three an over and the vaunted batting line-up of opponents St Saviour's were mainly frustrated out.

Owen Brock was first to go, bowled behind his legs by a pearler from Jonny Orme, but the crucial wicket was that of Spencer Noyon in the final over before drinks, superbly caught by Mike Adkins running back from extra cover.
