Squads double up

BOTH islands have emphasised the importance of the upcoming World Cricket League Division Six in their squads for Saturday's Marlborough Inter-Insular.

Guernsey's XI will come from the 13 players chosen for Malaysia eligible for this match with Jersey doing likewise and naming a 12-strong group for the KGV, all of whom will be in Kuala Lumpur too.

It means that some big names miss out on the annual clash.

For Guernsey, notable absentees include Tim Duke, who is unavailable for WCL6, and New Zealander Iain Atchison, who is not qualified to represent Guernsey in ICC competition.
