GUERNSEY'S best under-15s will have their first taste of international tournament cricket as the island hosts the ICC European U15 Division One Championships.
Starting this weekend, the hosts will be joined by Ireland, Scotland, Jersey and the Netherlands for the event, with all of the matches played at either Port Soif or the KGV.
The Sarnians start their campaign on Sunday against the Irish and coach Jeremy Frith hopes his side can step up to the plate against some big names.
'It is often underestimated how important it can be in these tournaments to be able to go home each night and sleep in your own beds. Also, our lads will know both the KGV and Port Soif pitches and their differences, so home advantage will be as important here as it is in any other sport.'
