A PERFECT team performance led to the perfect result for Guernsey in the 2011 South Regional Road Race Championships with James McLaughlin taking the win just ahead of Jersey rider Richard Tanguy.

A PERFECT team performance led to the perfect result for Guernsey in the 2011 South Regional Road Race Championships with James McLaughlin taking the win just ahead of Jersey rider Richard Tanguy.
McLaughlin, who is in the form of his life, was supported by fellow Commonwealth Games rider Josh Gosselin, Island Games rider Matt Osborn, Phil Touzeau and Leon Ogier.
The LCF Rothschild-sponsored team were in for a tough day in the saddle with more than 90 miles of racing, strong headwinds and unpredictable weather.
Although McLaughlin was riding under his professional outfit, Pendragon Racing Team, Team Guernsey looked to support him given his strong recent form by protecting him from the wind and putting him in the right position to take the win.
