SARNIAN medal hopes for the NatWest Island Games are looking very promising thanks to the form of Guernsey's two professional riders.

In the Tour de Serbie, James McLaughlin went into stage four of seven riding high in the big field which has seen many dropouts and left 85 riders to complete the gruelling event.

Meanwhile, Tobyn Horton is showing signs of coming into some great form as, riding for Motorpoint, he took a fantastic eighth place in the Smithfield Nocturn in London among a field that was full of World Tour riders from the big-hitting pro teams such as HTC, Garmin and Sky.

The start of the night-time race saw Horton near the back of the field and the Guernsey rider had his work cut out to move through the bunch to the front.
