RIDING a well-controlled race, Andy Colver sealed his victory in the Guernsey Velo Club Cycleworld Tour of Guernsey with a convincing win at the final stage held at Chouet.

RIDING a well-controlled race, Andy Colver (pictured) sealed his victory in the Guernsey Velo Club Cycleworld Tour of Guernsey with a convincing win at the final stage held at Chouet.

He only needed to start the race to guarantee his victory, but this did not stop him from dominating on a very windy and rough course at the Chouet headland.

The chase for overall runner-up was still open with Gary Robert and James Roe both being in contention, but it was Robert who won through with a gutsy third place finish ahead of Roe.

Meanwhile, young Alex Wilson had a storming ride to finish second on the day.
