TOBYN HORTON'S professional career is in danger of puncturing as doubts grow as to whether his Motorpoint team will hit the roads again in 2012.
The Guernsey star (pictured) may have mixed it with the best on the last stage of the Tour of Britain last month, but he faces an anxious wait for a new contract with Motorpoint or a new team.
In a major interview with the professional, cycling website Velonation, the 2011 Island Games criterium champion admitted his immediate professional future is in the balance.
'I'm not sure if Motorpoint is continuing or not. Things are getting tighter every year, the economy is obviously in bad shape and prospective sponsors have more to think about than putting money in to cycling,' he said.
