A FINE seventh-placed finish in the Tour du Jura could have been even better if the luck had been with James McLaughlin.

The Sojasun Espoir team rider could not help but be disappointed at the end of the three-day event as he felt he would have been capable of winning it if things had gone his way.

The race comprised a prologue and three road stages, taking place over three days.

The route has historically been quite mountainous, taking in a lot of the toughest roads in the region, something which suits the Sarnian down to the ground.
