Former GFC men Sam Cochrane and Angus Mackay are both unavailable, while forward Scott Bougourd is suspended.

North boss Will Woodford still believes his squad have enough about them to win.

‘We’re looking forward to the game. We’ve had a stop-start season because of the weather and we managed to get a game in on Wednesday and win [3-0 against Manzur].

‘Following a defeat against St Martin’s, we’ve come back to win three in a row scoring 10 goals without conceding.

‘We fully appreciate St Peter are a good outfit, having picked up players following the Scottish break-up and their young players coming through.

‘Despite our absentees, I have a strong core and a squad strong enough to win the game.’

St Peter, who proved too good for Vale Rec in the Jeremie last weekend, are aiming to appear in a fourth cup final of the season.

Gary Freeman’s team moved into joint fourth in the Premiership on Wednesday following a 2-0 victory away to St Ouen.

The former Muratti striker is now looking forward to the challenge of North in the lunchtime kick-off. Former Island squad player Daryl Wilson, who has returned from injury, is a key man, having found some form and scored in his team’s last three matches.

‘We’re hoping Daryl can go on a decent run now because we have a lot of games coming up,’ Freeman said.

‘He’s had a few problems with niggling injuries and it’s great to have him back. He has an excellent touch and is always looking to get other players into the game. He’s direct and knows how to finish, which is good for the team.’

Back in Guernsey, as well as the Jeremie quarter-final tie at St Peter’s, there are three FNB Priaulx League clashes, the pick of which would seemingly be the champions heading to the KGV 3G and a clash with third-placed Rangers.

It was the red-and-blacks who ended Rovers’ unbeaten league run last month and having lost to Saints in midweek, Jez Robin’s men will be desperate to avoid a third straight league defeat and close the gap on St Martin’s to one point.

At the Corbet Field, Vale Rec host Alderney in a 1pm kick-off and at the Track, Bels play Manzur, starting at 2pm.
