A SECOND straight promotion is the ultimate target as Guernsey face life in the highest level in their history.

The green-and-whites open their London One South campaign away to Hove tomorrow, the first league rugby fixture of 26 this season at the end of which coach Jordan Reynolds hopes his troops can replicate the promotion won earlier this year.

'I kept a good eye on it last year and, from what I can gather, this league is quite open,' he said.

'Last year, the top two teams that went up were London Irish Amateur and Tonbridge Juddians and they went straight through this league so it shows there is potential to do that.
