THE standard has been set and now Jordan Reynolds wants no let up from his men.

Guernsey produced their best 40 minutes of the rugby season in the first half of last week's 37-7 win over Beckenham and today they travel to second-from-bottom Portsmouth determined to continue their push for promotion from London One South.

'The aim was to be in contention by Christmas and that's not a far cry off,' said player-coach Reynolds, whose team sit fifth but are only four points off second.

'I look at Sidcup who are second and they are a team we should have beaten, the same with Old Elthamians who are also above us.

'Had we won those games we would be second now, but as things stand we are only a bonus-point win from being second if other results went our way.'
