TWO tries by new player Malcolm Barnes helped Guernsey to a much-needed win away to Dover on a very foggy afternoon.
With league leaders Chichester surprisingly losing their unbeaten record at home to Old Elthamians as well, it made it a confidence-boosting weekend for Jordan Reynolds' men as they look forward to hosting the table-toppers on Saturday.
Guernsey started the game in fine form, the scrum in full control and punishing their opponents with real conviction.
All the good work that Guernsey did in the first half, though, was undone when the back three failed to deal with a Dover clearance and Mark Beaumont was allowed to score an easy try.
