THE Guernsey Rugby Club have signalled their intent to move forward by making head coach Jordan Reynolds an employee.
The 31-year-old has been coaching the first team since 2008, having moved to the island two years earlier, but has previously done so on a purely voluntary basis.
The Australian admitted that his dedication to his coaching role has impacted on his job in the building trade in the past and so he is delighted to take on this initial 12-month contract.
'The club has decided to move in a forward direction, outlined how they want to perceive themselves and where they want to be in five years, and to do that they have started with the coach,' Reynolds said.
'This year they decided it would be an appropriate time to offer me a part-time position which will give me more time to work on rugby matters, which ideally is what I want to do.'
