Raiders need to keep relentless run going

RAIDERS are flying high but coach Jordan Reynolds insists they cannot afford to take their foot of the gas in the intriguing four-way London & South-East Premier title race.

Guernsey lead the way by six points from Barnes with Tring a further two points back and fourth-placed Hertford still having a game in hand on the other contenders.

Last week’s draw between Tring and Hertford benefitted Raiders, but as he takes his side to Southend Saxons tomorrow, Reynolds emphasised that their motivation now is that ‘we cannot afford to be slipping up’.

‘Hertford need [other] results to go their way, but I still believe Tring and Barnes have good opportunities to come out on top because we still have to play them both and so I definitely put both Barnes and Tring in the mix as being serious contenders,’ Reynolds said.

‘I certainly believe Barnes will go on and win the majority of their games with bonus points from here on through the rest of the season.

‘We have got nine games left and we probably have to win every game and pick up a least five bonus points to stay top.

‘Hopefully we can keep bodies on the field and we can keep on winning, but we still have a lot of tough games to come.’
