Munros prove uncatchable

MILES MUNRO recorded the fastest time of the day in the 400m freestyle event of the Specsavers Series staged by the Beau Sejour Barracudas.

In the process he set a new championship record in the 14/15 age group of 4-14.87, knocking no fewer than seven seconds off the previous mark that he set this time last year.

Older sister Alicia recorded the fastest time of the day for the girls in the 16 and over age group with 4-42.93.

A further record went to Courtney Butcher in the 12/13 age group in which she recorded a time of 4-43.62 to slice three seconds off the previous mark set by Lotte Parfit in 2008.
