Karl-Anthony Towns inspires Minnesota Timberwolves to victory

Karl-Anthony Towns was one of six Minnesota Timberwolves to end up with double figures in a 113-104 win over the Miami Heat.

Towns lit up in Florida with 34 points and 18 rebounds, and added seven assists for the Timberwolves who sit bottom of the Southeast Division.

Dwayne Wade top scored for Miami with 21, with the Heat tied with the Charlotte Hornets on 17-18 on the season.

Evan Fournier scored at the buzzer to lift the Orlando Magic over the Detroit Pistons 109-107.

Detroit staged a late comeback in the last three minutes but the late jumper gave Orlando their second win on the bounce.

Elsewhere, Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Chicago Bulls 95-89 and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 105-103.

The Philadelphis 76ers lost pace with the Raptors after going down 129-95 to the Portland Trail Blazers, while the Los Angeles Lakers rallied to a 121-114 win over division rivals the Sacramento Kings.
