Anthony Martial would like a new Manchester United contract now that Jose Mourinho is history, the Daily Mirror says. Tension between the erstwhile manager and the France forward saw Martial pull out of talks on an extension earlier in the season, the paper reports. Martial is said to be impressed with new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s efforts, which have seen him start in five of seven games under the caretaker. The paper says Martial has directed his agent to sort a deal with United’s top brass.
Manchester City’s hopes of grabbing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala have been shattered after Real Madrid laid down plans for a £90million bid, The Sun reports. Pep Guardiola is said to have been after the 25-year-old Argentinian for several years – even when he was boss at Bayern Munich. However Real are looking to add to their Galacticos and Dybala is reported to be top of the pile.
