Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are set to be sidelined for at least a fortnight following their respective injuries in Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Paris St Germain in midweek.

Lingard was withdrawn shortly before the interval in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 fixture because of a hamstring issue while Martial did not reappear for the second half due to a groin complaint.

United went on to concede twice in the pair’s absence as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffered his first defeat as the club’s interim manager.
