Dallas Mavericks inflict another home defeat on Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers lost their second-straight game at home as the Dallas Mavericks inflicted a 117-98 defeat.

The Sixers won their first 14 games of the season at the Wells Fargo Centre but were condemned to their third loss in a row with Kristaps Porzingis scoring 22 points and recording a career-high 18 rebounds.

Tim Hardaway Jr added 27 points for the Mavericks, who were without guard Luka Doncic, while Joel Embiid had 33 points for the Sixers – who are now third in the Atlantic Division.

Nikola Jokic had a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as the Denver Nuggets saw off the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-100, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Phoenix Suns 126-108.

Kyle Lowry hit 26 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Washington Wizards 122-118, while TJ Warren scored 23 as the Indiana Pacers saw off the Sacramento Kings 119-105.

Jordan Clarkson had 33 points for the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 114-107 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Boston Celtics beat the Detroit Pistons 114-93 and D’Angelo Russell scored 25 for the Golden State Warriors in their 106-102 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Elsewhere, the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Orlando Magic 118-103 and the Miami Heat beat the New York Knicks 129-114.
