Tottenham have allowed their Argentinian striker Alejo Veliz to move to LaLiga and join Sevilla on loan.

2237 – DONE DEAL – Cherries pick up a new recruit.

Turkey international Enes Unal has moved to Bournemouth on an initial loan deal.

In Glasgow, Celtic have signed Adam Idah on loan from Norwich until the end of this season.

The 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international said: “It’s such a huge club with such a big history behind it and I can’t even put into words what it’s like to be at Celtic.”

2230 – DONE DEAL – Thirty minutes until the window slams shut.

Sheffield Wednesday have got one deal over the line in time, with Colombian winger Ian Poveda arriving on loan from Leeds.

2215 Spurs to seal deal for Barcelona target Bergvall?

Tottenham have managed to beat Barcelona to the signature of highly rated Swedish teenager Lucas Bergvall, PA understands.

Bergvall had been set to sign for Barca after enjoying a breakthrough season with Djurgardens in the Allsvenska, but Spurs have convinced the 17-year-old to commit his long-term future to the Premier League outfit after he visited the club on Monday.

Midfielder Bergvall will undergo a medical in London on Friday before finalising his permanent switch, which will see him link up with Tottenham this summer.

2133 – DONE DEAL Strasbourg calling for Santos.

Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has joined Strasbourg on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Nottingham Forest.

2118 – DOUBLE DEAL! We’re into the last two hours of the window and things are starting to heat up.

Mason Holgate is now a Blade after swapping Everton for Premier League basement boys Sheffield United for the rest of the season.

Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden has dropped into the Championship to help QPR in their own battle to beat the drop.

2109 – DONE DEAL Heading north of the border this time.

Rangers have announced the signing of 20-year-old Colombian winger Oscar Cortes from French side Lens.

Cortes joins on loan for the rest of the season with Rangers holding an option to buy the wideman in the summer.

Liverpool defender Billy Koumetio has linked up with Blackburn on loan.

The 21-year-old Frenchman, who plays at centre-back or full-back, moves to Ewood Park until the end of the season.

Still in the second tier and West Brom have brought Celtic winger Mikey Johnston to The Hawthorns.

He’s the third Baggies signing this window, folllowing Andi Weimann and Callum Marshall in linking up with Carlos Corberan’s team.

More action in the Championship as versatile Manchester City player Josh Wilson-Esbrand signs for Cardiff till the end of the season.

Kieffer Moore has joined Championship promotion hopefuls Ipswich on loan from Bournemouth.

1900 – DONE DEAL – The Clarets get their man.

Burnley have completed a loan deal for Montpellier defender Maxime Esteve, who joins Vincent Kompany’s side until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old centre-back watched Burnley’s 3-1 defeat at Manchester City on Wednesday night before completing the formalities of his deal before Thursday night’s deadline.

“I feel very good, I’m really happy and ever since I first heard about the move I wanted to move here,” Esteve said.

“I have followed the Premier League since being a young child and had only pictured myself ever being here, so I am really excited.

There’s also more going on behind the scenes at West Ham, with Said Benrahma understood by PA to be in France undergoing a medical at Lyon.

1845 – DONE DEAL

Luton have completed the signing of 18-year-old forward Taylan Harris from Reading.

“My aim is to play in the Premier League – every player in the world wants to do that,” said Harris. “This has given me an opportunity to do that and achieve that.”

1832 – DONE DEAL – Whart a way to announce a new signing!

Adam Wharton has joined Crystal Palace from Blackburn on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

The 19-year-old midfielder reportedly cost the Eagles £18million plus £4m in potential add-ons.

Wharton told his new club’s website: “I’ve always wanted to play in the Premier League and to play for such a big club like Crystal Palace is a great honour.

“The way they’ve brought players from the Championship and developed them into world-class players in the Premier League is something that stood out to me, and it’s a big reason why I wanted to come here.”

PA understands West Ham’s Pablo Fornals has permission to discuss a £7million switch to Real Betis.

It’s been a quiet hour but we’ve just learned that Sunderland defender Nectar Triantis has joined Hibernian on loan for the rest of the season.

Hibs head coach Nick Montgomery said: “We have been chasing Nectar for some time, and although we thought he’d remain at Sunderland, circumstances changed and we made a move to bring him to Hibs.”

1642 – BESCHLOSSENE SACHE! – That’s done deal for the non-German speakers.

Bayern Munich have agreed a short-term loan deal to bring Granada forward Bryan Zaragoza to the Bundesliga ahead of schedule.

The German champions announced in December the 22-year-old would be joining them on a five-year contract from the summer of 2024.

Injuries to key players, however, have prompted Bayern to move into the transfer market and they have secured the services of Zaragoza early on loan until the end of the season.

1603 – DONE DEALS – Shrewsbury have captured highly rated Brighton youngster Jack Hinchy on loan until the end of the season, with Grimsby signing left-back Denver Hume permanently from Portsmouth.

1535 – DONE DEAL – One in, one out at Hull.

Dogukan Sinik has left to join Turkish side Hatayspor on loan until the end of the season, while the Tigers have signed Abdulkadir Omur on a permanent deal from Trabzonspor.

1510 – DONE DEAL – Another outgoing at Arsenal.

Young forward Charles Sagoe Jr has joined Swansea on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old made his senior debut for the Gunners in an Carabao Cup clash with Brentford earlier this campaign.

1455 – DONE DEAL – Getafe forward Enes Unal has completed a medical at Bournemouth ahead of a loan move until the end of the season, PA understands.

An obligation to make the transfer permanent has been included in the deal and the arrival of the Turkey international will allow Kieffer Moore to complete a loan switch to Ipswich.

The Iceland international joined the Gunners in September 2020 from French side Dijon and made six appearances, keeping three clean sheets.

However, the 28-year-old spent majority of his time on loan away from the club, including at Cardiff earlier this season.

1440 – “This will be breaking news, OK – but Ivan will stay.”

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has said there is no chance Ivan Toney will make a late deadline day move away from the club.

England striker Toney has been linked with Premier League rivals such as Arsenal and Chelsea in the January window.

The 27-year-old has scored 34 goals in 68 top-flight games for the Bees and Frank insists Toney will stay put after a month of speculation.

“This will be breaking news, OK – but Ivan will stay,” Frank said at his press conference previewing Monday’s clash with Manchester City.

The 21-year-old looks set to join on-loan Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana as a January arrival at Turf Moor.

1400 – DONE DEAL – Blackpool have added to their squad.

George Byers will make the temporary switch to Bloomfield Road from Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of the season.

1330 – Rogers sent a message to Middlesbrough following his departure to Villa. Here’s what he wrote…

1310 – Tottenham forward Alejo Veliz has arrived in Spain ahead of completing a straight loan to Sevilla for the remainder of the season, the PA news agency understands.

Bryan Gil could also leave Spurs before the 11pm deadline with Brighton and Feyenoord keen on a loan move for the Spanish international, who is happy at the club despite limited opportunities and may need convincing.

Loan exits could also be on the cards for youngsters Nile John, Jude Soonsup-Bell and Yago Santiago, while Tottenham remain in the hunt to sign Swedish teenager Lucas Bergvall from Djurgardens, but they face competition from Barcelona who are leading the chase to sign the 17-year-old.

The 32-year-old joins from Colorado Rapids on an 18-month contract.

Davidson said: “Getting him to sign for us is a bit of a coup as not only is he an excellent player, but he will help this club greatly in terms of bringing on our young defenders.”

1300 – DONE DEAL – Activity in the football league.

Macauley Bonne swaps League Two Gillingham for League One Cambridge on loan, while Grimsby sign Curtis Thompson on free transfer from Cheltenham.

1230 – There is plenty of time for clubs to finish their transfer business before the 11pm deadline.

Here are some of the rumours and completed deals so far on deadline day.

Boss David Martindale has bolstered his midfield with the signing of David Carson from Inverness. He joins on an 18-month deal.

1200 – DONE DEAL – There has been more action in League One.

Oxford have brought in Owen Dale on a permanent deal from Blackpool, while Bolton have signed Aaron Collins from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

1135 – DONE DEAL – League One leaders Portsmouth have raided Carlisle for midfielder Owen Moxon, signing the 26-year-old for an undisclosed fee.

The forward has made a big impression in the Championship since joining Boro from Manchester City in July.

He played 33 senior games for the Teesside club and scored seven goals, the most recent of which came in last month’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg defeat at Chelsea.

Dundee have completed the cinch Premiership’s first signing of transfer deadline day by taking Norwich goalkeeper Jon McCracken back to Dens Park on loan.

Meanwhile, Lowland League side Albion Rovers have sold striker Joe Bevan to Premier League Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

1105 – DONE DEAL – It’s official, Morgan Rogers has joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old moves to the Premier League side for an undisclosed fee.

1100 – DONE DEAL – Shortly after announcing Pritchard’s departure, Sunderland have brought a player through the door.

Winger Romaine Mundle arrives from Belgian side Standard Liege on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

1015 –  In Scotland, there could be big news at Rangers amid reports from Italy that Hellas Verona are set to launch a bid to sign striker Cyriel Dessers.

1000 – DONE DEAL – Birmingham have swooped for Alex Pritchard, signing the Sunderland midfielder for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to reunite with former Black Cats boss Tony Mowbray.

“I am happy,” Pritchard told BluesTV.

0945 – Motherwell have not ruled out a last-minute return for Kevin van Veen during this transfer window, according to assistant manager Stephen Frail.

Groningen are open to offers for the out-of-favour striker and a loan could be their only option as the transfer deadline approaches.

0925 – DONE DEAL –
 Wrexham have made another signing.

This time they have boosted their attacking options by bringing in Jack Marriott from Fleetwood for an undisclosed fee.

The Hollywood-owned club, who sit second in the League Two table, are having a busy deadline day.

0915 – DONE DEAL – In League Two, high-flying Wrexham have signed Luke Bolton from Salford, with the defender joining for an undisclosed fee.

0900 – DONE DEAL – There has been a flurry of early activity.

Nottingham Forest have bolstered their squad, bringing in striker Rodrigo Ribeiro on loan from Sporting Lisbon, while Brighton’s Mahmoud Dahoud has joined Stuttgart on loan for the rest of the season.

Ribeiro, 18, has joined the Premier League strugglers on loan until the end of the season in a deal which could become permanent.

0845 – There could be some departures at West Ham today, with Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals linked with moves.

Lyon are said to be keen on Algeria forward Benrahma, while Real Betis have been linked with Fornals.

Elsewhere, Facundo Pellistri made a loan switch away from Manchester United on Wednesday night, joining Granada for the rest of the season.

0815 – Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic seem likely to add to their squad on deadline day.

They are closing in on the loan signing of Norwich striker Adam Idah, with the 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international reportedly arriving in Glasgow on Wednesday to seal his move to the Hoops until the end of the season.

0750 – Crystal Palace also look set to sign a player from the Championship today, with Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton said to be close to swapping Lancashire for South London.

Palace have reportedly agreed a fee of £18million plus £4m for Wharton, who could sign a five-and-a-half-year deal at Selhurst Park.

0730 –
Aston Villa are expected to strengthen their squad before the window slams shut.

Middlesbrough winger Morgan Rogers is the man they want, and the deal could be worth £16million.

The winter transfer window closes this evening at 11pm for Premier League and EFL clubs while it is 11.30pm for teams in Scotland.

There are plenty of deals in the pipeline, with Fulham linked with a deadline-day loan move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja and Rangers expected to complete the signing of Colombian winger Oscar Cortes on loan from Lens.
