Cristiano Ronaldo has faced criticism after he posted a picture to his Instagram account of himself with fellow Portuguese footballer Jose Semedo.

It’s been a busy week for the footballer. Ronaldo celebrated the birth of twins just a week ago and has now been accused of racism for the post, where he referred to the pair as “black and white chocolate”.

User itz_s4fy4n simply wrote “that’s racist”, but the post has divided opinion.

“How is it racist I’m baffled,” wrote user samono21.

“It’s not racist oh my gosh all of you grow up and stop being so sensitive it’s so sickening,” wrote giovannisfv.

In case you’re wondering, 32-year-old Semedo plays for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship as a defensive midfielder.

He started his career at Sporting Lisbon like Ronaldo, but never made an appearance for the Portuguese club before moving to Charlton Athletic in 2007.

Ronaldo welcomed his twins earlier this week with a post his account. The Real Madrid forward already has a son, Cristiano Junior, who was born in 2010 – and they look like a pretty happy family right now.

Is he bothered by comments on his Instagram post? Not if the above picture is anything to go by.
