It just wasn’t Geoffrey Kondogbia’s day as Inter Milan took on Chelsea in Singapore.

In one of those I-just-can’t-believe-it moments, the midfielder inadvertently ended up helping the opposition in what was possibly the greatest own goal of all time – as Chelsea were on their way to another pre-season defeat.

Somehow, the Frenchman managed to lob Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli from 40 yards with an overcooked back-pass which went hilariously wrong as it looped over and nestled into the net.

And the internet seized the opportunity to make their feelings known:

Although luckily for Inter Milan, Kondogbia’s faux pas didn’t cost them the game as they ended up winning 2-1.
