Michy Batshuayi is keeping a pretty close eye on his pre-season stats by the look of it
The Chelsea striker has been in superb form this summer.
Michy Batshuayi had a quiet season on the pitch for Chelsea during the 2016/17 campaign, but since scoring the goal that won the Blues the Premier League he looks to have turned on the style.
That much has become apparent through his excellent form in pre-season at a time when forward Alvaro Morata has just joined Chelsea in a move believed to be worth around £60 million.
The Blues most recently beat Arsenal 3-0 in a friendly, and Batshuayi played a key role – here’s the Belgian striker’s first goal…
… and his second’s not bad either.
But one thing that has become apparent is that, even though it’s only pre-season, the 23-year-old is keeping track not just of his goals scored, but also the assists he has provided.
He tweeted this after the game against Arsenal for example.
Sounds like Michy thinks he should have had a hat-trick – he’s even got an emoji for assists, tweeting this after Chelsea’s 8-2 win over Fulham earlier in July.
If anyone needs to know Batshuayi’s stats next season it looks like he’ll be keeping the running total himself.
