Among the more money-laden moves of the summer window’s transfer deadline day, England’s Jadon Sancho moved to Borussia Dortmund for £8 million.

The former Manchester City player scored five goals for England’s under-17s as they finished runners-up at the 2017 European Under-17 Championships.

And with Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele moving to Barcelona earlier in the summer in a move which could eventually cost the La Liga club £135.5 million, Sancho has been given the number seven shirt.

Dortmund are famous for creating an environment where young footballers thrive, so England fans should be very excited – Dortmund fans should also be happy with the potential Sancho has.

It’s a landmark move too, according to @OptaFranz.

And it also bucks the trend for England players staying in the Premier League.

Will Sancho reach Dembele’s levels at the German club?
