The 24-year-old Spurs striker scored twice in four first-half minutes as Tottenham survived a late West Ham onslaught to emerge with a 3-2 win from a ding-dong derby with one man short.
After the game, Kane admitted Tottenham breathed a sigh of relief after holding off West Ham’s fightback, telling Sky Sports: “Yeah (it was a relief), obviously when you’re 3-0 up in a game and you end up going to 3-2 it’s always a bit nerve-racking, especially when you’re down to 10 men.”
