A simple question about how three Formula One drivers will spend the off-season had some people hot under the collar after Sunday’s season finale in Abu Dhabi.

World champion Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen were asked how they would spend their free time ahead of the 2019 season, which begins in Australia in March.

And when talk of babies arose, the inevitable talk of the birds and the bees was not far behind.

“If you need advice I know how to do it!” Vettel told his fellow drivers regarding having a child, before adding: “I don’t know how long you two want to be in free practice.”

“I like free practice,” Verstappen responded, while Hamilton added: “I’m going to stay in free practice for a little bit longer, works best for me.”

The drivers will take part in pre-season testing in February 2019 in Barcelona – no double entendre intended.
