Couple fear Belle Greve reclamation

PLANS to extend the Longue Hougue reclamation site south are the first step towards the reclamation of Belle Greve Bay, a couple whose home overlooks the bay have said.

Another nearby resident said the plans were ‘a little more sinister’ than they appear.

Jill and Tony Cunningham have recently finished renovating their home on the east coast, and found out just over a week ago about plans for the extension of Longue Hougue.

‘They are calling it Longue Hougue south,’ said Mrs Cunningham. ‘But we say it is Belle Greve North’.
