Bailiwick Law Enforcement confirmed that Guernsey Fire and Rescue, Guernsey Police and St Johns Ambulance were all at the scene.

'Please avoid the area at this time,' said Law Enforcement in an update on their Facebook page, posted at about 4.20pm today [Sunday 6 June 2021].

The Joint Emergency Services Control Centre said the incident was reported at 4.05pm and that a second boat was alight. In further update issued just after 5pm, it said the fire was now out - with the ambulance service having left the scene. The road would remain closed for about another half-an-hour, with Guernsey Fire and Rescue and the police still on the scene.

Videos and images shared online showed flames coming from a vessel with thick black smoke billowing across the marina and into the sky.
