The Lefebvre Street eatery came on to the market in May, listed at £950,000.

The sale went through on 12 September for £609,375.

The restaurant and its associated business, Koi Koi Express, closed suddenly in May and it was believed that the owner had left the island.

Many people were left in the dark as to the fate of bookings they had made for events and the owner left no contact details.

The dim sum and sushi bar opened in 2019 at the former Red Onion site.

An advert from Randalls in today’s Guernsey Press is seeking new operators for a ‘fully equipped turnkey bar/restaurant in the centre of St Peter Port on a short-term lease’.

It was promoted as having a complete kitchen, ‘stylish bar’ and seating for 70.

‘Ideal for launching a pop-up or testing new concepts,’ says the advert, adding that the premises could be opened immediately and with ‘minimal setup’.

Randalls declined to comment on its acquisition.
