Flooding causes major traffic delays
COMMUTERS have been trapped in hour-long jams this morning due to flooding which made parts of the east coast road impassable.

Police and civil protection volunteers manned cordons and redirected traffic.
Due to flooding the area between the Longstore and the Red Lion was closed to all traffic – except for HGVs travelling north - but has now reopened.
La Vallette bathing pools have also been damaged.
