Paid parking vote sees minister and two fellow board members go
ENVIRONMENT minister Roger Domaille, his deputy, Tony Spruce, and board member Barry Paint have all resigned from the department following yesterday's late States decision to introduce paid parking for long-stay spaces in Town.

Debate on the transport strategy saw four days of twists, turns and heated discussion before deputies voted 25-19 in favour of the 60p-an-hour charge, which was part of a minority report put forward by Environment members Deputies Yvonne Burford and Barry Brehaut.
The department's majority report, rejected by members two weeks ago, contained no such paid parking proposals and Deputy Domaille (pictured) had from the outset said he did not support it.
