The woman, who is in her 80s, was convinced to provide her bank card details over the telephone.
She later found out that £500 had been removed from her account by the fraudsters.
Police are investigating the matter.
A spokesman from the force said a female cold-caller told the elderly lady that she had a holiday booked with the company and needed to take it soon.
She would also have to pay £80 to keep the holiday, she was told.
