Donkey statue plans rejected

PLANS to erect a kicking donkey statue in the St Peter Port Harbour have been rejected at an open planning meeting this morning.

While Environment Board members said they were in favour of the concept they did not feel the proposed location was suitable.

Members also approved Guernsey Harbours' proposals to change the use of the eastern section of North Beach car pack for port operations and to cope with Condor's new, bigger ferry.
