Roughly 500 passengers from the Saga Holiday's ship will begin arriving at the pier instead of the inter-island quay for the first time from 8.30am.

Guernsey Harbours has applied for but not yet received planning permission for new pedestrian arrangements to get passengers safely to the bus terminus or into Town.

It has also proposed the coach pick up point is moved to the terminus which would avoid the whole of Albert pier being closed in future.
