With 135 vehicles dating back 70 years, the public felt they had been transported back in time, as they watched the biggest Liberation Cavalcade.
They lined the entire stretch of the sea front to catch a glimpse of the nostalgic vehicles.
Leading the display from Salerie Corner, down the sea front to the Slaughterhouse and back was Montys Rolls Royce.
The parade also included Guernseys vintage tractors and bicycles, handcrafted floats and pedestrians.
Russel and Jilly Clark from St Martins had put together a float with their three children. Dressed in 1940s costumers, the parents were sat on deckchairs while their kids were building sandcastles.
The cavalcade is just fantastic and we feel so proud to be a part of it on this 70th anniversary, Mrs Clark said.
The atmosphere is really buzzing and everybody is having a great day.
