Bus Users' Group coordinator Fergus Dunlop said it welcomed the improvements made to the service by operator CT Plus to deliver the highest bus passenger figures in four years.

However, he said there was still more to be done to further enhance what was being delivered to passengers in Guernsey.

'It is proof that by delivering reliable, punctual services, with an enhanced timetable and sensible routes, the public will come back to the buses,' he said.

'There has been hard work, but it must be maintained.

'It is about a continued effort to deliver excellence in the service.'
