WOMEN bikers and their beloved machines take centre stage in a new calendar in aid of the charity, Helping Jonah, Helping Others.

The calendars, titled Mefi Ous Maidens, which means Beware of Girls in Guernsey-French, sees the female motorcyclists posing with bikes ranging from Suzuki Bandits to the 1972 Bonneville T120.

The production of the calendars got under way six months ago, and organiser Jayne Packham, 43, said they now had 500 in stock.

'The calendars should hopefully be out in the shops this weekend, with all the funds going directly to Helping Jonah, Helping Others,' she said.

'I wanted to expand what we did last time with the Mums of Anarchy calendar, and the girls have been fantastic.'

She said the aim was to raise £3,500, which would equate to selling 500 calendars.

The calendars will be on sale for £7 in Lexicon, CI Co-Op stores, Alliance, The Halfway Cafe and other retailers.

Further information on the calendars can be found at www.helpingjonah.com.
